Lace Top vs Silk Top vs Mono

Lace for sheerness and parting, silk for hidden knots, mono for durability. The salon and the custom choose.

Fine Swiss lace: the most flexible part, but knots may show up close, and lace holes need lining if natural hair must be blocked.

Double silk: knots sit under the layer. That is the advantage in bright light. Slightly less “sheer” than lace.

Korean mono: durable mesh, stable sit, a fine mesh look. Suited to long wear.

Hybrids exist: silk crown with front lace; mono with wefts; full hand tie on any of them.
